Mike Weatherly – Conservative MP

Tony acted as an MC for us in May 2012 at two very different events on the
same day. The first was the live finals of the music competition Rock The
House (currently the largest parliamentary competition ever!) at The Bedford
in Balham, where he kept the competition moving swiftly and efficiently,
whilst keeping the audience amused and the judges happy. He also managed to
orchestrate a few promo shots for a sponsor in between.

This first part was to determine the winners who were to be awarded in the
second part of the day’s events at the House of Commons and there was very
little time in between to prepare for this. In fact it was largely done en route to
Westminster. Despite this Tony was more than at home in front of an audience
of MP’s, music industry heavyweights and celebrities, and carried out his MC
duties with grace, humour and considerable presence. He dealt with the pressure
of working from ad hoc notes, celebrities who decided to disappear on tours of
the House of Commons when they should have been presenting prizes, and last
minute amendments to the running order with charm and quick thinking, and
made it all appear effortless.

I would thoroughly recommend Tony as an MC, and personally hope that he will
be back for Rock The House 2013.

Myrna Whiteson MBE – President Teenage Cancer Trust
Tony Moore has been a supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust for many years .  His support has been far more than direct fund-raising because he has given his dedication, enthusiasm and considerable skills to promote this charity.
Over a five year period he has organised the musical entertainment at the Annual Marylebone Fayre on behalf of Teenage Cancer Trust.  This involves  planning the programme some months ahead, attending organising meetings, enlisting the support of artistes as well as leading the proceedings on the day and presenting the show.

It is his interaction with both artistes and audience that sets the tone of the entertainment throughout the day and ensures that the crowd have a wonderful time.  A happy audience is a generous audience – so Teenage Cancer Trust benefits.
He has, over the years, performed in and organised many events to help the charity – and always his commitment and –professionalism shine out. Tony Moore is an asset to have on your side!

Shirley Pinn, Venue-Smart
My team and I  have worked on events with Tony now for almost 7 years. It all started when Tony played for (and MC’d at) a fabulous evening in Blenheim Palace with Diana Ross back in 2005. It was an excellent night and we saw that he was a truly incredibly talented musician, entertainer, song writer and Compère.  In more recent years we have hired Tony privately to compère events for us, both charity and corporate.  Together we have raised over £50k at the Annual Candy Floss Ball and this is largely due to Tony being such a great presenter whilst being able to motivate a charity audience to be generous in auctions as well as running and creating games to enhance the evening.

Mark Smutz-Smith, C-Management
Tony stepped in and single handedly “saved” a major event for C-management, putting his team swiftly to work behind the scenes, with both production and stage management capped off with the ultimate in Master of Ceremonies performance ! Tony is the consummate professional and I can think of no one that brings more to hosting an event than this gentleman.

Bob Burke – Freelance Keyboardist/Guitarist/Vocalist, Musical Consultant and Educator,
Tony’s work at The Bedford and The Regal Rooms has created many opportunities for all sorts of up-and-coming artists. The atmosphere at his events is unique and the infrastructure that he has put in place – in terms of promotion, networking and online streaming – sets these events apart from anything else I have experienced on the acoustic music scene in the UK. He is also a fantastic musician in his own right, but doesn’t allow that to overshadow the events that he organises. Tony is entrepreneurial and resourceful and I would heartily recommend him to any event as the perfect host and presenter.

Roberta Smith – songwriter and performer
Tony is a truly amazing person. He created the Kashmir Klub out of thin air and generated such a maelstrom of artistic energy, that the atmosphere was tangibly buzzing with it. I was privileged to work, play and love there as diary-writer and performer and loved every minute of it. Make music make love was the mantra and everybody did. Tony is a marvellous presenter, introducing acts with humour, confidence and generosity. He is a wonderful songwriter and performer himself but always gives his own slot equal or less time than all the other songwriters for the evening.  Tony is irrepressible and a multi-tasking, multi-talented miracle! What a hero!
